Tommorrow we are heading to the doggie Park here in beautiful Palm Bay. LOL…I’m anxious because Sam has never gone to a park before. Not many people there so hopefully it will just be our three…for now.
Stories to come.!!!

Our youngest, our smartest and the one most stubborn. He’s a definite “game” Lab…he has caught birds in the yard and chases our cats. We are now down to one cat, from age not Sammy. Tonight after we played ball by the pool he saw Blue and chased him into my studio with me in hot pursuit followed of course by Fergus and Sophie.
It’s not acceptable so on went the lead and out we went, wet and barefoot to drill and drill for 20 minutes. By the end of our session I was pleased he could walk with a loose lead looking at me the whole time, and thankfully I didn’t step on one stone.
A few months ago he jumped up on bed and landed on my face dislocating my jaw. I now have TMJ issues but I am learning to relax and stay calm so it’s not a bad thing. Always look to the positives.
Tonight I will curl up on the couch and he will curl into me with his head on my legs and he will be the very, very best Lab in the whole world. Sigh.

Trying to think of some fun thing they did today. Actually they were rather calm…although it’s still early and light outside.
Nanda is a sweet 10-12 year old lady that Ray was fostering then adopted. She has a little dance she does when she is standing, rocking back and forth on her two front paws. When the boys are running around the pool chasing a ball she follows, sometimes even getting it first with great delight. She gives it up quickly so it can start all over again.
I got this photo of her today by the back door. Ray says one of her classic postures.

Well a few days have passed and Sophie seems to be learning, ahhh so very slowly, that the world doesn’t revolve around her. Nanda is the only other girl and Sophie just needs to tell her often that she is in Sophie’s world.
I did get them all in proximity to take this photo with Ray holding a ball as an attention getter.
Tommorrow Scarlett is another day.!!

Yesterday our friends Ray, Shaq and Nanda arrived from Austin, Tx to visit. Ray is our two footed friend and Shaq and Nanda are four pawed.
Sophie, being the only female here needed to let Nanda know who was the Queen right off. Actually she needed to let her know all night at different intervals. I was stressed but Ray had faith. Today all is well. Fegus and Sammy were googley eyed over the fact that there was a “new girl” to show off for, and they did.
Shaq…..he is 15, very suave, laid back and is the observor. He did want to sit on..ah, I mean by me on the couch today. Shaq is the largest Lab I have ever known. When we sit out back and the others go under the table, Shaq takes it with him. Sigh.
More storeis during the week. Today we are recovering from last evenings celebration.

I’m not sure where I even left off. LOL…I’ve been so busy painting, redoing my web site and other assorted tasks. One big one is chasing Sammy to get the toilet paper back. That’s a fun game for us. Sophie’s game is”let’s steal Mum’s glasses…and sweet Fergus, he just wants to lick every part of you so you’re clean and happy.
Now that I figured out the username and password we can start with new stories.
Here’s my latest painting for the day.

I will really try keeping up. Doing my daily painting and playing with the Kids is hectic at times but rewarding. Sophie, Fergus and sammy are doing great!! My art work is going really well too so I’m happy.
We went to Mississippi recently for Logan’s adoption ad left the furkids alone at home for the first time. I had my neighbor and friend, Judy, come over and feed them and let them out. That awful seperation anxiety was gone. I subscribe to Whole Dog Journal and I was readig today that Sammy really does suffer from panic attacks. His bark turns into a terible scream and it’s heartbreaking. When he gets near me again he wiggles himself inside out and tries to jump into my face to be close. I’ve been turing my back to him and have him sit before we give loves. Sigh.
Started doing other dogs on ebay. That’s been alot of fun.
Well here’s todays painting. Enjoy!!

I have had requests..LOL..to continue the blog. Everyone got tired of reading about Sophie’s birthday…LOL….why??? I have been getting so much spam on the blog I got frustrated.But..alsa, I’ll try again.
I’m still having fun doing Ebay… www.stores.ebay.com/sophies-art-gallery and the three Furkids are great!! Sophie has had skin allergies probably from flea bites. Took her to a Holistic DR and she ’s doing much better. Fergus is just fine. Dealing with major seperation anxiety from our 8 day trip and the kids staying at the doggie hotel. Sigh. And Sammy….our sweet nutty Sammy. If he drinks one more cup of coffee on me I’ll put him back into stir!!! LOL…He gets up on chairs, tables, you name it for the glorious coffee. He’s doing pretty good in agility training. He’s fast. I’m not. yet!!!
We gained a grandson!! A 6 year old boy named Logan. My son Jamie and his wife Stefanie adopted him and he’s stolen my heart as well as the hearts of Sophie, Fergus and Sam. When he’s here the dogs and he are in the pool non-stop and always seem to forget to rid themselves of water before they come in the house. It’s all good…plenty of towels and tile floors all around.
So I’m back…the stories will come…photos too.

Today is Sophie’s birthday!! She’s 7!
As you probbly know she came into my life the Christmas my parents passed away. My Mum died the end of October and my Dad passed 6 days later on Nov. 1. Sophie was born the 30th of October. Since I don’t believe in coincidences I know they had a hand in choosing her.
She and I are so alike and together we have overcome our shyness, our fear of doing new things and we’ve come along way. Haven’t quite figured out the diet thing as yet but we’ll get it. Sophie, if you ever see us together, is definetly” my dog”. Any dog or cat that wanders to close to me gets the evil eye first then the slight growl…but then I guess that makes me “her person”.
Soph has a smile that lights up any room. She pulls her gums back and actually smiles, and sometimes laughs throwing her head back and down as we do. It depends on the joke!!! Her life has been renewed now due to the Thyroid medication she takes and she runs faster than ever in her agility practices and I’ve found her back to her impish ways of “reading” books and “guarding” my shoes.
She makes me laugh, she gives me so much joy and she’s the reason I paint Labradors. Sammy and Fergus are special and great but when I look into Sophie’s eyes’ ,it’s as if I’m looking in the eyes of someone I’ve known forever… and today is her birthday!! Frosty Paws all around!!!!!
